What do all knitters have in common? We love to knit!
We love knitting, crochet and some of us quilting. We love to get our yarn and knitting needles or crochet hooks out and whip up a cable knit sweater, gloves or a cap. Lots of us love to go to knitting classes or go searching for knitting patterns at garage or flea sales.
Me? I love to crochet flowers. I have them all over my bedroom, bathroom and even up the stairs. I also love to collect old knitting magazines stuffed with knitting and crochet patterns. Nothing thrills me more than to find a really old crochet pattern full of crochet or knitting stitches.

I'm using U.S. size 7 circular needles and the link that I am following (http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting/patterns/hats/london-beanie.htm) says to join the stitches together. I found a link on youtube telling how to join the stitches, but for some reason mine seems so much harder to join because the circular needles are so long and the stitches are so short! I don't know what to do. Help! Thanks! :)
I'm new to knitting and I'm trying to make a beanie. http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting/patterns/hats/london-beanie.htm ^that is the link that I am following. I just cast on the stitches. I haven't joined the knitting yet, but I don't know what k2 p1 ribbing means. I know how to knit and how to purl though, but what do the numbers/ribbing mean? if someone could help out, that would be great! also, what does 10 rounds mean? I'm using a circular knitting needle, so does that mean go around doing the same thing 10 times? Thanks!
Here is the link - http://www.krazyawesome.com/knitmonster/cardi-shrug.html I'm all the way to "finishing the body", but I don't really understand what this means - "Continue in pattern until piece measures 3.5 inches from underarm, ending with a right-side row." What rows exactly are the pattern rows? I think I have an idea, but I was just wondering what everyone else thinks. Thanks!
I am trying to find a crochet (not knit) pattern for a pair of mittens where the part covering the fingers can be folded back. I wanted to make them for my dad. He hunts and I feel like they could be useful.
My boyfriend has some Cherokee in him and he wants to make our living room have a native american theme. I don't want to buy a blanket as this most likely is NOT authentic. I want to make him one to honor his heritage, but I cannot find a good enough pattern. Help please. Many thanks to those who provide information. I know that they didn't knit, but I want to make something with the craft that I know how to do. All i need is a picture/pattern of a blanket that I can knit from.
