What do all knitters have in common? We love to knit!
We love knitting, crochet and some of us quilting. We love to get our yarn and knitting needles or crochet hooks out and whip up a cable knit sweater, gloves or a cap. Lots of us love to go to knitting classes or go searching for knitting patterns at garage or flea sales.
Me? I love to crochet flowers. I have them all over my bedroom, bathroom and even up the stairs. I also love to collect old knitting magazines stuffed with knitting and crochet patterns. Nothing thrills me more than to find a really old crochet pattern full of crochet or knitting stitches.

after a few initial stitches, my pattern says: sl1pw wyif, yb, leave it there, (sl1 pw, psso)x3, sl last st back to left needle, turn, yib, cable cast on three stitches, cast on one more st but with yif before placing it onto left needle, turn, sl1kw, pso, I really don't understand what it's saying, please explain, because I tried searching some of the acronyms on google and youtube, but I couldn't find anything helpful
Please help. I'm knitting a muffler
when a pattern calls for doing something with yarn in front, is this going to add a stitch? EX: a scarf I am doing says to- slip 1 pwise wyif, put yarn to back. In doing so, am I supposed to gain a stitch? Wether the answer is yes or no, please explain why!! Thank you so much for the help and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My pattern reads as follows: sl 1 wyif = slip one with yarn in front (slip as if to purl) Can you please explain how this is done, or send me to a tutorial with diagrams/videos that explains this? Thanks!
