What do all knitters have in common? We love to knit!
We love knitting, crochet and some of us quilting. We love to get our yarn and knitting needles or crochet hooks out and whip up a cable knit sweater, gloves or a cap. Lots of us love to go to knitting classes or go searching for knitting patterns at garage or flea sales.
Me? I love to crochet flowers. I have them all over my bedroom, bathroom and even up the stairs. I also love to collect old knitting magazines stuffed with knitting and crochet patterns. Nothing thrills me more than to find a really old crochet pattern full of crochet or knitting stitches.

My sister found a very strange-looking clay statue in her lunch box with no explanation of how it got there. Our mom doesn't know where it came from and neither does anyone at her school, but that's not the issue. I just want to know what it is. Here's what it looks like: It's definately some sort of animal, maybe a pig, pug dog, or rodent or some sort. It's about half the size of a clenched fist. It is a light greyish brown. It has a very large red triangle painted in the middle of it's face, presumeably a nose. It has a black line directly underneath it's nose, probably a mouth, except for then its teeth would be underneath the mouth. The teeth are small, right underneath the black line, white, and look like a smile. There are exactly thirteen of them. It has big round black circles for eyes, and on the inside rim of each eye there is a long black line that looks like an eyebrow, but totally vertical. On it's head it has grey hair painted on. On the front it looks like bangs but on the sides it looks like small leaves or feathers. These feathers surround a red spot that looks like the inside of an ear. On it's head it has a clump of red yarn, like a hat or beret. It doesnt have any distinctive legs, but it does have feet, in the front like it was sitting down or crouching. It;s feet are black and grey and look like hooves or very dainty paws. Between it's feet there is an indentation the size of a large thumbprint, but with little tiny hole-shaped indentations inside it. It has a tail on it's right side made of brown twine. It has a little red yarn piece at the top. Near this tail there is a red diamond, on the same side. This diamond has a gold symbol, a character in another language. I don't have much experience with asian languages, but it doesn't look like chinese. I wouldn't know, though. So, given this description, what do you think this rodent-pig-dog creature statue is, and where did it come from?
