What do all knitters have in common? We love to knit!

We love knitting, crochet and some of us quilting. We love to get our yarn and knitting needles or crochet hooks out and whip up a cable knit sweater, gloves or a cap. Lots of us love to go to knitting classes or go searching for knitting patterns at garage or flea sales.

Me? I love to crochet flowers. I have them all over my bedroom, bathroom and even up the stairs. I also love to collect old knitting magazines stuffed with knitting and crochet patterns. Nothing thrills me more than to find a really old crochet pattern full of crochet or knitting stitches.

Open Question: Childrens Hats To Donate?
I have a lot of fleece hats I would like to donate to a charity. Have made the hats myself from leftover fabric. Prefer a charity in a cold climate. Any suggestions?
Voting Question: How much to ship from the United States to the Philippines? And Where?

Resolved Question: Are fleece hats ok for chemo patients?
I want to make a fleece hat for a friend, is fleece good?
Resolved Question: Where to get one of these for a good price?
http://www.google.com/products?q=XXX+Holic+Mokona+Fleece+Hat&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&rlz=1I7ADFA_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=3_NETJTwGpK-sQPlmoH9Dg&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=3&ved=0CC4QrQQwAg I prefer to buy it online because if I go to the store in real life it might be sold out. The cheapest ones I found so far were: http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/l6EDzbdF22-sWUXlDo/browse/item/83030/4/0/-638 http://www.amazon.com/XXX-Holic-Mokona-Fleece-GE2283/dp/B001T8ME60 http://www.toystop.net/XXX-Holic-Mokona-Fleece-Cap-GE2283/M/B001T8ME60.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle But I always like to see if there are any out there (which haven't been used/worn of course) are cheaper. Oh and if anyone can tell me which of the lin above has free shipping and which one doesn't that'd be great.
Resolved Question: How can you have your own style with a dress code?
I have gone to a public school so far, but next year i will be going to a private school and the dress code is as follows: The dress code of Xavier High School strives to reflect good taste, neatness, cleanliness and Christian modesty while avoiding trends and fads. Students reflect pride in themselves and their school by the way they dress and act. It is expected that parents/guardians will require their students to leave home dressed in accordance with these regulations. The administration reserves the right to interpret dress code. Its decisions are final. Our goal was to develop a dress code that is understandable for students, parents and faculty. We have used a collaborative process, which included input from students, faculty, and parents. Through this process, we have come up with the following modifications to the dress code for the 2010-11 school year: Slacks – Solid-color ankle-length dress slacks are to be worn. These slacks must be tan or navy blue. Slacks must be worn at the waist. Shirts/Blouses – Solid-color, collared dress shirts or polo shirts must be worn at all times. All shirts must have sleeves. T-shirts or tank tops with insignias that are visible under the shirt are not allowed. All shirts must be tucked in at all times. Shirts must be buttoned to demonstrate Christian modesty (one button from the top). Small manufacturer’s logos and/or monograms are permitted on the front of the shirt only. Writing on the back of the shirt is not permitted. Optional – the Xavier dress shirt (navy blue, light blue or white)or polo (navy blue, gray or white) purchased through the Saint Shop may be worn. Skirts/Dresses - Skirts/dresses are not allowed, except on designated dress-up days for girls. Shoes - Closed toed dress shoes or tennis shoes are required at all times. Boots are not permitted. Sweaters/Vests/Cardigans – Solid-colored dress sweaters/dress vests/dress cardigans may be worn, but a solid-color, collared shirt must be worn and must be visible under the sweater/vest/cardigan. Optional – the Xavier navy blue or gray dress sweater/dress vest/dress cardigan purchased through the Saint Shop may be worn, but a solid-color, collared polo or dress shirt must be worn and must be visible under the sweater/vest/cardigan. Fleece – The Xavier ¼ zip Fleece ordered and purchased through the Saint Shop may be worn but a solid-color, collared shirt must be worn and must be visible under the ¼ zip fleece. Hats/Bandannas - Hats, caps and other head coverings are not permitted. Scarves – decorative scarves may not be worn . Outerwear - Coats, sweatshirts, jackets, and sunglasses are not permitted in classrooms during school hours. Hooded items may not be worn. Earrings - Earrings may be worn only by females. Excessive earrings are not allowed. Piercings are only permitted in the ears, and must be in good taste. Hair - Hair is to be neat and well groomed. Neither extreme hairstyles nor unusual coloring are permitted. Boys hair is to be off the collar and above the eyebrow. Tattoos – Tattoos must be covered at all times . Casual Days - The final Friday of each month is a casual day. Students may wear appropriate sweatshirts or t-shirts (advertising for alcohol, drugs, bars, etc. are not allowed) with jeans or sweats on these days. During the months of August, September, April and May, boys may wear shorts (but not Capri pants) and girls may wear Capri pants (but not shorts) on casual days. Caps, hats, and bandannas are not allowed. These rules apply for any other casual days that are designated by the administration. Students choosing not to participate in casual day must be in approved dress code attire. Boys may wear earrings on casual days. Excessive earrings are not allowed. Piercings are only permitted in the ears, and must be in good taste. Spirit Days - On designated days throughout the year, students may dress in spirit attire. If students wear shirts that say Xavier (or XHS, or Saints or have the Xavier logo), they may wear jeans or sweatpants. Xavier caps may be worn on these days. Shorts are not allowed on Spirit Days. Students who do not wear attire that says Xavier must be in regular dress code. Dress-Up Days - On designated days throughout the year, students are able to dress up, usually for all-school Masses. Students must exercise Christian taste and modesty on these days. Penalties - Students who are in violation of the dress code will receive demerits, will be required to correct the violation, and may be assigned to an in-school suspension. now with that said, my own personal style is well, a little bit gothic emo, scene, girl gamer, anime nerd, To Write Love On Her Arms obsessed... but nothing really extreme, just all of that at the same time... How can i still dress like myself while following the dress code????
