What do all knitters have in common? We love to knit!
We love knitting, crochet and some of us quilting. We love to get our yarn and knitting needles or crochet hooks out and whip up a cable knit sweater, gloves or a cap. Lots of us love to go to knitting classes or go searching for knitting patterns at garage or flea sales.
Me? I love to crochet flowers. I have them all over my bedroom, bathroom and even up the stairs. I also love to collect old knitting magazines stuffed with knitting and crochet patterns. Nothing thrills me more than to find a really old crochet pattern full of crochet or knitting stitches.

Hi everyone, I am desperate to know exactly how to take a scarf off the round loom but I only went a little way around. I know I have made a mistake of making it very thick and using fancy looking yarn but I need to know for my moms birthday present. It is supposed to be a flat scarf so please don't tell me to do something that will make it roundish. Thanks for all your answers everyone, Elisabeth P.S. I know how to crochet also and I heard you could do it with that in someway?
I am an artsy crafty person but also a pack rat and a slob. A local arts & crafts store, Pat Catan's, is having a promotion this month where a person can go in to the store and pick up camouflage yarn to make a scarf for the troops. The problem is that the only pattern they have is knit. I'm a crocheter! :) Does anyone know of any good men's scarf patterns--something that a soldier might like? I've checked out crochetpatterncentral.com and couldn't find anything I really liked there . . . do you have a better pattern? Or does someone out there know how to convert a knit pattern into a crochet pattern? That would work, too.
i wish i could crochet, i saw the cutest yarn animals in woman's day magazine. but i do knit (a little), so im gonna try to knit myself pokemon characters. trouble is, i dont know what to stuff them with. every site i go to say "stuffing" but what KIND?! i bought a huge bag of cotton balls, im hoping they dont ooze out b/w the stitches. does any know what im SUPPOSED to stuff them with, though? HELP! thanks. :-) omg that gives me a great idea!!!!! instead of sewing the pantyhose onto the inside of my yarn animal, or stuffing it w/ a wadded up pair of pantyhose, im going to stuff a section of leg of pantyhose w/ cotton balls, stitch that up, and stuff it into my yarn animal!!!!! that way i dont have to stitch the pantyhose directly onto the yarn itself. sound good to you? mind you, my yarn animals not gonna be very big, maybe 6-9" or so. i know you advised against using cotton balls, but i spent enough money on the yarn, all i need is to shell out another who knows how much for poly fill, right? besides, i dont intend to wash my yarn animals, probably just "beat" the dust off them in the future, so i doubt the cotton balls will give me any trouble, as long as i stuff them into the patyhose, so they dont ooze out. thanks for the great idea!!!!! :-)
